Q7: Can the BBQ Guard display the wrong propane level?

The BBQ Guard is designed to display the tank level in a reliable manner as possible by measuring the temperature variation along the tank when the barbecue is burning propane. During the design, various tests were done on several different barbecues in different ambient environments (sunlight, hot, cold, windy …). The tests were done following proper installation and assuming average usage of the barbecue.

Although the BBQ Guard is designed to display the tank level in a reliable manner as possible, there are a few specific situations where the displayed tank level might not reflect exactly the propane level in the tank:
Situation 1: The BBQ Guard could display the wrong level if not properly installed.
Situation 2: If the barbecue is burning propane for several hours, the tank level will change substantially but the displayed level will be the same as in the first 10 minutes.
Situation 3: If there is a tank temperature variation caused by an external heat source.
Situation 4: If the tank has been filled or if the BBQ Guard is transferred to a different tank with a higher propane level, the BBQ Guard will only update the displayed level after the barbecue has burned propane twice.
